Can I have a 100% UV protection portable gazebo?
A portable gazebo can be set up for highly effective UV protection when using UPF50+ Excellent rated fabric and a barrier is formed with the fabric between occupants and sunlight. To provide as close to 100% UV protection as possible, both direct and indirect UVR (Ultraviolet Radiation) must be shielded. A combination of a UPF50+ UV protection gazebo and attached walls to block out as much visible sky as possible is recommended.
What is indirect UVR (ultraviolet radiation)?
Indirect UV radiation is radiation from the sun which is either reflected or scattered from surfaces such as sand or concrete, from the atmosphere, or from water droplets (for example, clouds). Although direct sunlight is the most noticeable, we’re exposed to as much indirect UV radiation throughout the day as we are direct radiation. An effective sun shade also shields from indirect UVR.
